Private pools are an essential requirement in any villa with a plot, and when you own one you have to take into account a series of guidelines and factors for proper maintenance.
If you do not decide to change the water every year, it will only take an initial chlorination, to control the pH levels of the water.
The essential steps for the set-up, in the event that you have emptied the pool are the following:
-Clean the walls and bottom of the pool glass
-Wash the filtering system thoroughly and the skimmers, where the chlorine tablets will be deposited.
-Fill the pool
-Regulate the pH rate of the water
-Apply the treatment for the water. If it is a saline pool, you will have to apply salt and a somewhat different maintenance to ordinary chlorine pools. The anti-algae treatment is essential to prevent the water from spoiling quickly. The appearance of algae in a pool means that there is a weakness in the disinfection system.
Checking the pH of the water
The most important step in pool maintenance is controlling the pH of the water. For the chlorine to disinfect the water, it is necessary that the values are regular and that the pH level always is between 7.2 and 7.6, as it shows us the acidity or alkalinity of the water. This is necessary to avoid possible allergic reactions or irritations in the skin during bathing.
For the daily maintenance of the pools, the use of chlorine is essential, adjusting the amount depending on the size of the pool. In the same way, it is necessary to keep an eye on the pH level in the water on a daily basis to check that the chlorine levels do not rise too much
Weekly it is recommended to put chorine tablets in the skimmers, from where it will be distributed evenly through the water.
In general, maintaining a pool is very simple and it is not necessary to spend too much time.
In our new built houses in the Monte y Mar urbanization, we have properties with a communal pool and detached villas with a private pool. We also offer the possibility of installing saline pools if desired.
